It’s not just the paint or wallpaper on your walls that dress your room. It’s the finishing touches, like vases, paintings, accessories around your fire that bring a room together, there’s always still time to add to your Christmas collection of wonderful magical things.

As it’s never too late to add more Christmas magic to our home here are some ideas for you to bring together the final flourish to your home for Christmas with these merry and bright decorative details...

  – Foliage. Bring a touch of winter magic indoors and invite guests into a frosted wonderland with snow-kissed wreaths, garlands, and mini trees – the more foliage the merrier. Sprigs of foliage add fresh, festive pops and act as great space fillers to other decorations. Of course, the main event is the tree! Each year, as a family we love picking our Christmas tree and bringing it home to decorate and finishing off with a mug of hot chocolate and of course a glug of Baileys added in mine (slurp slurp). There are so many realistic artificial trees available to buy that are simply stunning which are available in a whole host of options lighting and colours.

 – Festive Trinkets. Give your shelves and sideboards a seasonal makeover with hints of shimmer and sparkle. Fill clear vases and bowls with an eclectic array of decorations in a variety of tonal colours and sizes for some fun! Some love the traditional colours of red, green and gold and others love bright bold colours. What-ever your style it’s best to try and tie the room together in the same colour-scheme with other decorations such as garlands, tinsel and foliage too.

 – Cosy lighting and candles. Create a cosy and opulent atmosphere with fragranced candles set alight inside a variety of lanterns and candle holders. Mix and match lanterns with candlesticks in varying heights for maximum visual impact. Fairy lights are also an essential must-have, and we love a classic warm white string set to finish off our cosy atmosphere.
